Hi! I’m Tricia.
I could tell you that I am a working professional, mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. I could also share that I am an introvert that loves to read and reflect. But really, at the core, I’m just someone that wants to understand myself and the world around me and find a way to create a little joy in it. Okay… A LOT of joy in it.
This blog is an attempt to do something productive with the fruits of my own quest for balance and purpose in both my career and personal life. Since I began my career as an educator in 2006, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals through their academic endeavors. However, it was after taking on leadership roles beginning in 2014, where I focused on nurturing teams and fostering their growth, that I truly found my passion.
I embarked on a mission to not only lead others but to lead myself towards a more fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle. It was during this transformative journey that I discovered the profound impact of reflection, appreciation, and intentional growth. These pillars became the foundation of my personal philosophy and the inspiration behind the series of guided prompt journals that share the same title as this blog.
I’d love to tell you that I have mastered a solid journaling routine, and that self-awareness and growth are now very easy for me, but I’d be lying to you. Reflection is easy for me, that much is true. However, to be most impactful, I believe you need to write down those thoughts and really explore what they mean to you and what gratitude you can take away from them. Then we need to use this knowledge and appreciation to act toward the growth or change that will bring us joy.
I started this blog to create a community to share this journey with, help hold myself accountable, and to celebrate our wins together.
With thanks and anticipation,
Tricia
